How to lead the provision of modular infrastructure for autonomous electrical vehicles in a smart way that provides value to cities, society, fleet operations, stakeholders and the workforce.. How to respond to early opportunities such as an Autonomous Vehicle Trial, and adapt to the evolution of technology.. Value Drivers: -.
I didn’t really think about it as a male-dominated thing, it was just something that suited my personality and that I enjoy.Obviously, since I went to university and into the workplace, there aren’t a lot of females in the industry, but it's not something I generally think about.
Especially in this environment, where there are a lot of females. There are a lot of female architects. We all work together on a project… it’s more of an even split in this office and we’re all working together and bringing the same sort of things to the table..
I think the kinds of projects we get involved with [at Bryden Wood] are really interesting - the areas that we look into, the DfMA aspect of things.I think as an engineer it presents a greater challenge.
I think this company challenges the architects to push the envelope a bit more.
We don’t just go with the standard tried and true designs. The joints can be unbolted at the end of the building’s life, potentially with the use of temporary propping.
It is important that the method statement is considered at design stage so that the assembly and disassembly method are developed concurrently (planning ahead for reuse)..The disassembly should encourage components to be removed in their entirety.
A high-quality component has more value than its individual parts. Not only can it be reused in its component form but it can be disassembled further in a local offsite facility, reducing on-site pollution.
